What a chemical peel is
A chemical peel is a professional exfoliating treatment. A solution is applied to the skin to loosen the dull, dead surface layer, so fresher skin shows through over the following days.
Each of my five peels is made for a different goal. Depending on the peel and your skin, you may see light flaking for a few days, or none at all.

Pause strong products
Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids a few days before, unless I tell you otherwise.
Stay out of the sun
Avoid tanning and sunburn in the week before, since peels aren't done on sunburned skin.
Tell me about medications
Mention any prescription skin care or medications when you book, and let me know if you're pregnant or nursing. I'll tell you exactly what to pause and when.
After your peel
- Let any flaking come off on its own. Don't pick or peel it.
- Use a gentle cleanser and a plain moisturizer until your skin settles.
- Wear sunscreen every day and stay out of strong sun.
- Skip retinoids, scrubs and exfoliating acids until I say it's fine to start again.
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas and hard workouts for a day or two.

Which chemical peel is right for me?

Will my skin peel?
Maybe a little. Some people see light flaking for a few days and some see none. The peel still works either way.
How many peels will I need?
It depends on your goal. Some people book a single peel before an event, while goals like dark spots usually take a short series spaced a few weeks apart. I'll suggest a plan.
Can I get a peel if I'm pregnant?
Tell me if you're pregnant or nursing. Some peel ingredients aren't recommended then, and I'll suggest something that suits you better.
