What microneedling is
Microneedling uses a pen with very fine needles to make tiny channels in the surface of the skin. I use the BioPen and treat the face and neck in one visit.
Changes build gradually over the weeks after a session, and a short series spaced a few weeks apart is common. I'll suggest a plan that suits your skin and your goals.

When it isn't the right fit
Microneedling isn't right for everyone. Tell me if you're pregnant, have active breakouts or a skin infection, have a recent sunburn, or use prescription skin care, and I'll let you know whether it's a good fit or suggest something else, like a chemical peel.

Finish and aftercare
Your skin is calmed and protected, and I'll go over exactly how to care for it for the next few days.
After microneedling
- Expect your skin to look pink, a bit like a mild sunburn, for a day or two.
- Skip makeup for the first 24 hours.
- Use only gentle products, and hold off on retinoids and exfoliating acids for several days.
- Wear sunscreen every day and stay out of strong sun.
- Avoid hard workouts, saunas and swimming for a day or two.
