Waxing

Brazilian wax in Pea Ridge

A full Brazilian wax with me is $50, in my private studio at the Shops at Slack Street in Pea Ridge. It removes the hair from the whole bikini area, front to back, and it's done gently, with first timers in mind. You can book online through Booksy whenever it suits you.

What a full Brazilian wax is

A full Brazilian removes the hair from the whole bikini area: the front, between the legs and between the cheeks. It's the most complete bikini wax there is.

If you'd rather keep a little hair at the front, a bikini wax may suit you better. My French wax tidies the area and leaves a small triangle.

Your first Brazilian wax

A first Brazilian is the one people worry about most. A little preparation makes a real difference.

  1. Let the hair grow out

Hair should be about a quarter inch long, roughly the length of a grain of rice. After shaving, that's usually two to three weeks. If it's much longer, trim it a little, but don't shave.

  2. Prepare your skin

For a few days before, skip scrubs, retinoids and tanning on the area. On the day, shower and come in with clean, dry skin and no lotion or oil.

  3. Think about timing

Skin is often more sensitive in the days just before and during your period, so if you have a choice, the week after is usually more comfortable.

  4. Tell me it's your first time

When you arrive, let me know it's your first Brazilian and ask me anything you're wondering about. I'll explain each step before I start and take it slow.

What to expect at your appointment

  1. A quick chat

I'll ask about your skin and whether you've been waxed before, then give you privacy to undress from the waist down.

  2. The wax

I work in small sections so it goes as smoothly as possible. You'll change position a couple of times so I can reach every area.

  3. Finishing up

I check for any stray hairs before you're done, then go over aftercare so you know how to look after your skin for the next couple of days.

Brazilian wax aftercare

  • For the first 24 to 48 hours, skip sex, hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, tanning and hard workouts.
  • Wear loose cotton underwear and comfortable clothes for the rest of the day.
  • Keep scented products off the area for a couple of days.
  • After two or three days, start gentle exfoliation a few times a week to help keep ingrown hairs down.

Some redness or small bumps for a day or so is normal. If anything worries you, call me at (479) 466-4362.

Brazilian wax price

Rebooking every four to six weeks keeps the hair on a regular cycle, which makes each wax easier.

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (479) 466-4362.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

It can sting, especially the first time, because the hair is often thicker and hasn't been waxed before. The sting fades quickly, and later appointments usually feel easier once you know what to expect.

How long does a Brazilian wax last?

Usually three to four weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Booking every four to six weeks keeps you on a steady schedule.

Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period?

Many people do, with a tampon or menstrual cup in place. Skin can be more sensitive around your period, so the week after is often more comfortable. If you're not sure, call me before your appointment.

Should I shave before my Brazilian wax?

No. Stop shaving two to three weeks before so the hair is about a quarter inch long. Shaved hair is too short for the wax to grip.

What's the difference between a Brazilian and a bikini wax?

A full Brazilian removes all the hair from the front to the back. My bikini wax is a French wax, which tidies the area and leaves a small triangle at the front.

How much is a Brazilian wax in Pea Ridge?
